Service

General Motors South Africa is committed to provide you, our valued Cadillac customer, with customer service levels consistent with this prestigious brand. Our local retailer network technical staff has been trained to the highest factory standards to ensure your continued hassle free motoring. A competent technical team is also available at the General Motors’ Head Office to lend further assistance should the need arise.

Our Retailers take pride in their service standards and would like to be given the opportunity to resolve any problems you may experience should they arise. Therefore, if you have any queries or items of concern, the following process will ensure you receive the desired response:

  • Explain your concern to your Retailer's Service Manager. Should your query not be resolved at this point, we request that you speak to the Retailer Principal/Managing Director of the Retailer.

  • In the event your concern is not resolved by the Retailer Principal/Managing Director we request that you immediately refer the matter to us at the General Motors South Africa Customer Relations Section. Our interactive contact number is 0800Cadillac. Your complaint will then be logged and handled in conjunction with the Retailer concerned and every effort made to resolve it.

In the unlikely event of your vehicle or the Cadillac driver or passengers experiencing problems on the road, we have implemented a comprehensive Roadside Assistance Programme called the GM VIP Support Plan. This programme provides for speedy, convenient, country-wide Roadside Assistance 24 hours per day. When activated, the GM VIP Support programme will cater for the majority of your comfort and material needs and, dependent on the nature and duration of the condition, could include accommodation and meals, medical assistance, a replacement vehicle to continue your journey and / or repatriation of both passengers and vehicle to your place of departure / destination.

The GM VIP Support staff is also available on the Cadillac interactive number of 0800Cadillac.

General Motors South Africa warrants every new Cadillac purchased, including all equipment and accessories, to be free from defect in material, workmanship or both while under normal use and service for a period of 3 years or 100 000km from date of sale to the first owner. General Motors South Africa will therefore repair or replace, at an authorised Cadillac Retailer, any parts that are deemed to be defective (see certain exclusions in your Owners’ Handbook).

Cadillac replacement parts are supplied from the new General Motors parts warehouse in Port Elizabeth who has maintained the number one Competitive Customer Satisfaction position (CCSI) in South Africa since 2000.
